As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. Sometimes I have a solid concept in my head when I start a wallpaper, and sometimes i'm just playing around with various elements and it all comes together. This wallpaper is an example of the later of the two; I had a piece of random stock that I just happened to stick in the BG at the right place at the right time, and a bit of editing and shifting later I had my final concept. Enjoy!

Wow, Red. Your work with swords and flames continue to amaze.
The BG doesn't look tacked in, and the character centering is awesome. I also like the perspective the sword gives you in this image. Very nicely done. I'm gonna grab me one of those widescreens for the MacBook.

A kick-butt beauty, she is. Definitely not someone you'll want to mess with, especially with a double sided sword that big. The background also looks really nice, what with the spotlight on her and all, and she looks like an angel with those fire-like wings. Well done!

Wonderful wall :) I love the perspective on this one, very well done but I can't help but think there is something missing that would make it perfectly complete. I can't help but think that walls like this need just a bit of text to finish it off. But other than that I love it! XD +fav!!

I don't think the scan merges with the background colors all that well. The scan doesn't seem to be the right one for this wallpaper. Nice job with the abstract scenes though. =]

The background is very good, the flames, the colors are very nice. The character is beautiful, with her two-bladed sword. Her expressions are looking good, too. Her clothes are torning apart, making the scene more lively. Very nice wallpaper.
