Konnichi wa everyone!

This is my very first wallpaper. I always had a thousand ideas for wallies I had wanted to do, but handling photoshop was too difficult for me. I couldn't even cut an image! With time, I grew tired of only submitting scans and today I hit my limit. I opened photoshop and slowly started experimenting with things. I can't believe how easy it turned out to be in the end. You just have to try many buttons until you find what you're looking for. With time I hope to remember the purpose of each tool. =)

As regards the wallpaper, I found the scan at a Chinese site and instantly fell in love with it. For the background, I used a picture of Tokyo at night, which I then blurred, and added to it some shinny sparkles. These came from a part of a firework picture, and underwent several strange processes which I don't recall at the moment but turned out to be great. I wanted to create something that would glow with the same energy as the girl's face (too metaphorical but true). All in all, I'm really proud of my work and hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Any comments are welcome, I'm just an amateur =)
