The whole time I was making this wallpaper, I kept hearing that No Myth (Romeo in Black Jeans) song in my head :3 Flashback.
I remember when Gankutsuou came out, a lot of people were upset that it wasn't following the original story. However, I was ecstatic. What's the point of repeating the same old story in the same old way when you have an avenue as limitless of animation to bring any fantasy to life?
As soon as I saw this image, I scanned it and started working on it. Romeo x Juliet is proving to be anything but a cookie cutter version of the story, and because of that, I like it even more. I completely re-drew (or "vectored") the original scan, and even created the background using vectors and textures to make the stones look right. I was seconds from texturing it, but then decided this was just perfect with a glossy finish. It was tedious, but we'll just say this time it was a labor of love ;D
The scan is in the AP gallery too, if you want to look: http://www.animepaper.net/gallery/scans/Romeo-And-Juliet/

There's also a new wallpaper from El Cazador de la Bruja for those interested :D

It's simple but carries the light, innocent feeling of the pair so well. And nice job on vectoring; I remember seeing the magazine scan before and it had a lot of text on it.
