Well, it's good that you vectored the scan but I think the main problem here are the colors.
I don't know if a very strong flashlight gives her that face color during a sunset or what but I think it would look better in daylight.
Also, the road he is "floating" on is too blurry and actually looks like a magical mist that evolves under him wherever he goes.
more bats wouldn't hurt imho and the grass is too high or the trees are too low/small.
With the background being "distant" (all is black without details) the wall has no depth and the background looks weird with the characters.
keep up the hard work.

Nice re-make of a black/white scan! ^_^

Unfortunately, the black line-art is far too solid here. I also think you applied the line-art a bit too much, like the shadowing on the guys pants with the black outlining around the shadow. Also his face is a bit too cartoony. =/
The paint-board the girl is holding looks as if it is literally cutting through her arm too.
Colors have already been pointed out by anolibb.

With that said tho, it is really hard to recreate black/white manga scans, and to even attempt at it is a good job in itself! So i commend you for that! :)
Overall, a nice effort.

As Brad says, redo black-white scans is a really pain, and there are some little flaws there.
But in overall it looks fine to me, the choosen scene is a really funny one.

Good show I hope there will be a second season; the face on the scan heve more details so the face on the wallpaper sems flat but the rest its good work

Alright, I planned on reviewing this ALOT sooner because I saw this scan and I freaked out. The scan alone is nothing short of simply stunning. The quality of it is unreal and the visuals are just unbelievable for a scan. I was waiting for someone to take full advantage of this beautiful scan and I'm glad that someone was you. I couldn't of dreamt of a better choice of scenery to put her in. I gotta ask you one thing ZZ, I've always been curious to where you find these sources of inspiration that take such an elegant and graceful form. The idea to create the source of energy (as I refer to it anyways) was a great source of light and how you've done the lighting is amazing. Also I gotta say that the use of the castle BG, VERY good choice. She fits very nicely into it and the two look as if they were made for each other. I gotta say I've always loved that about your work...it draws me into a beautiful world of such magic. Favorite no doubt. I hope to aspire to talents such as yours one day. ^^

I particuly don't know the manga version of Rosario + Vampire, I only see the two season of the anime, but i don't like very much of the drawnig, I know this is a vector of the original manga, but for mim doesn't work... but, by the way, um made a great job.
Keep this way :D
