Full view please! The full effect is lost in the thumbnail!


Finally got enough time, well, more like I MADE enough time to finish a wallpaper. I saw this image at the end of a Bakemonogatari episode and I was like...hmmm...cool, I wonder if that would make a good vector.

I started working, and it was a pretty easy vector to do. I know the eyes look a bit weird, but that's actually how they looked in the original image and I thought they looked cool so I kept them like that rather than make them look more normal. It was one of my fastest and funnest vectors so far, and I think it came out pretty good.

I have been debating about whether or not to change her skin color or not. Her skin is not that dark in the anime, I know, but it is in the scan so I decided to keep it that way. I tried a few different things for the background but there wasn't much background anyways so I ended up keeping the plaid pattern in the back. It doesn't really need anything else. I would have used it as a wallpaper straight from the show if the quality was good enough, which it wasn't.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! The wild colors really hit a sweet spot with me and I had to make a wallpaper out of this image as soon as I saw it. Thanks.
