Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tell Me Baby


This is my first foray into the world of what can only be called digital painting (Though this particular example is most certainly a fairly bad one). Extensive brushwork for more or less everything that isn't Asuka: The clouds, the sky, the railing. Even the birds are re-brushed from some other source. That said, I have to admit that I am quite pleased with the result of my handiwork. A simple wall, but fairly effective, I think. The trace is, as always, available for your downloading pleasure in the scans section, and I hope it comes in handy for a wallpaper better than my own. The lyrics, from Red Hot Chili Peppers' Tell Me Baby, seem oddly appropriate for Asuka, but I think that particular reason is secondary; I was merely listening to the song a lot during the production of this wallpaper. I won't deny, however, that it certainly holds a lot of weight when applied--Asuka certainly has had a lot happen to her.

I would say this particular wallpaper is heavily inspired by Misuchi's Small-town Asuka, though hers is definitely better, not to mention richer in detail.
