As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. I gave myself quite a challenge on this one because the image I chose to vector SUCKED! It was so grainy that I could barely tell where the lines were, and since it was a manga scan, it was black and white so I had to figure out where the shadows and highlights were. Figuring out the color took a while too, but in the end I was satisfied with the vector.

The background lets the characters sound out which is a nice way to do it. The lighthouse looks awesome, and I think you did a very nice job with the vector.

Vectors and brushed backgrounds usually don't go, but this time I don't care, probably because it's well texture. The reCGing, if there was any, on the background, is flawless. kudos on that. The vector is well done dispite the fact that you had to work on a shitty image. The only thing that I don't like about the wallpaper is the clouds. Too messy.

Aww! How cute! I love the scan with them kissing with the romantic background. It looks really great. I can see how hard it took to make the lighthouse the way you wanted, but in the end I think it looked good in the end! ^_^ keep up the great work! ^_^

I dig the combination of scan style choice, and A shame that it's not getting too much attention :/

Ya, i'm with you blu, this wall should get more attention (but you still have 13 hrs on the main page, hopefully you get more comments). i think you've done a pretty darn amazing job blending it all redlips and great job on the vector. i haven't tried doing it from a manga yet, but i can imagine how hard coloring/shading was.

perspective looks good to me and i personally like the clouds. i think i might've chosen different colors but it still looks great! +fav from me too :)
