After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

Happy summer everyone!! I hope you guys have a great summer ^_^
It's been so long since I submitted anything. I really wanted to wall this image for my desktop.

Main inspiration is the song Inochi no Namae the soundtrack for Spirited Away by Joe Hisaishi. It's the perfect song to put me in a nostalgic mood.

Scan:

Vectoring the sketchy outlines took forever because I'm lazy and because I don't have as much spare time as I used to. At some point, I realize I should've trace it manually with pen and tracing paper.
The coloring is fun and only took 2 days. It's not exactly neat because I wanted it to look like it's manually colored :p

Interesting output, I'm honestly surprised by the result, comparing to the scan we can see great (and hard) work, you kept the style of the scan plus a small thing of your own.
And of course the coloring is well made.

You've manage to improve the scan greatly, you deserve a fav for two reason, first for your work, second for walling a ghibli's masterpiece

This is by far the most unique Spirited Away wall I've ever seen, I'm very impressed it's a whole new outlook on the anime and wallpapers all around, you pushed the boundaries and made something people can look at and say "Man I've never seen that before" and I think the colors are soft and the whole thing is just so charming you captured a new side of the anime and made me fall right into the magic all over again. A+ and a fav .(n_n). emoticon

It doesn't look sketchy at all, and in fact looks too neat for the style of the image. This is one picture that I don't think translated very well in wallpaper form. I admire the effort you put into it, but making something that is essentially a concept sketch into a polished vector just looks odd. The feeling in the original is that it's a rough idea, with varied pressure and opacity on the lines (as you'd get with a pencil), and that's completely lost with the vector look. It would have been better had you manually traced it, like you said in your description.

I think tracing it manually with pen and tracing paper or even using a tablet with pressure-sentitivity might give it that hand-drawn sketchy look better. Even still, I like the wispy-ness of the lines in your wall, and you obviously put some good effort into it. :) Still nice, but a little busy for a wallpaper. ^_~

The colors are warm and really remind me of summer. too bad the sky is not shown too much because if the sky shown more it really make a summer scene but I like this ^^. I notice this is a time when you used colors that not part of blue hue or green hue so your goal to use other color hue beside green and blue achieved too.
