I've been working on this off and on for so long I thought I would never finish it...
Time: Over a month? (I've worked on it in small chunks)
Layers: 46 (after I merged all of the layers from vectoring & painting Sakura)
Hardest Part: Making it look watery o_o
Inspiration: "Watermark" by Enya
I vectored the outline and base colors for Sakura, then went back and painted the details. Originally her dress had no real detail to it, but I thought it looked too plain that way and added some patterns to her outfit (the design on her shirt was vectored, too). The idea was to make it look like she's almost in an under water cathedral, but I didn't want it to look too busy and so I kept the tweaked and repainted cathedral hallway somewhat hard to see... Well, I thought it looked better that way and gave it a more illusionary feel. I hope you like it!
