Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!

Hello,

This is nothing special. I like it a lot, and I wish to submit for the sake of the Juuni Kokki gallery XD. There aren't enough wallpaper's of this wonderful series.

About this wallpaper. I created it through two screenshots of the anime series. One of the character, and the other of the landscape. They both seemed to just fit, and I did a lot of messing around. I wanted to try to get a partially painted look, and slightly out of focus. Nothing in this wallpaper is meant to be sharp. Be warned, the texture plays tricks on your monitor :P. The texture is just to give the wallpaper a "canvas" feel, not supposed to look like one. For all you fans out there ;). Enjoy!

Edit: :lol: It appears my blurry work on the character isn't to great. I apologize, I actually rushed this wall because I just wanted it DONE XD. I'll be sure to update this one in the future with a sharper character, and possibly re-work the texture (I'm still VERY new to using these mind you). Again my apologies for not taking my time XD.

The blur is too heavy on the chara I would say.

It's all right in the background as it works with focus, but on the chara you kinda have to remember people use anime walls cos they like the chara/series and they generally like that element to be clear. If you really want it to be blurrey I'd tone it down from what it is and make it more subtle, but really I'd suggest vectoring the capture and then doing something interesting with it.

I'd redo the texture as well I think - it looks too regular and doesn't really say "canvas" to me :/.

For my personal taste, the text is a little too large and overbearing - but that's just me :).

I'm glad to see that the "Juuni Kokki" section is slowly being filled. I like this wallpaper's colour and composition, to bad you blurred the character so much, I think A fully sharp character against the blurry mountains and blurred butterfly would create a beautifull depth effect.

I actually think the blur in the foreground makes the scan fit pretty well with the rest of the wall. Maybe having it just a tiny bit sharper would be nice, but it's nothing that really detracts from the wall. I guess the only thing that disturbs me a bit is the outer glow on the butterfly. If you removed it I think it'd look better.. but anyway, nice work!

I think this is a great done wallpaper although being a little "foggy". I think that the background suits the image very well and it gives such a relaxing feeling. Thank you very much for this wall and keep up the good work. :)

I love the idea.. it's like one of those character design things.. very cool. As for it being a wall, well I dunno if I could really use that on my desk. I think this kind of thing would be beneficial with top and bottom borders.. for icon space ;) But anyway, I love the colors, it's really soft on the eyes and pleasant to look at.

Great Choice of pictures they just click. The main character is too blurry, but you already know that. The glow around the butterfly strikes me as the only thing that doesn't match the wall.

I do hope that you edit this wall with the suggested comments as I think that this would be a really awesome wall.
