And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!

My entry for Paint-o-Rama's "Let there be Light" contest.
Yes, it's loli-tastic. I dedicate it to Osi just because of that. Actually, I chose the scan because I decided to go for the "light filtered through trees" sort of lighting, and because it had a nice spring theme to it.
I won't comment much on this wall since you can read all about how I made it here. In essence: scan extension + watercolor clone = happy fun fun wallpaper!
More resolutions at DA! Desktop Anime. But seriously: FEEL THE WIDESCREEN LUUUURVE!

Whoa! Lovely composition. Loving the depth and perspective of the WP. The flowers (Sakura, I assumed) really gives the Spring aura into it. Loli or not, this is a great job done!

It's very nice. I love your effort into expanind the image. I like the picture better in your wallpaper than the orginal scan. Smoothing colors and excellent concept! Great job. Thus, it's also widescreen!

Woohee! Another wallpaper by Tama-neko! And Takamichi too! I really like the softness! And you extended the trees well. Although, to me, the branches kind of look like they're sitting next to her rather than being on top of her. Perhaps something should be blurred? But, woah, it seems so much work was put in here! It's also very nicely laid out. I think I would prefer a smooth version, but the watercolor feel is cool too! Good job!

Judging from this effect and feeling you're trying to pull off with this piece, I think it's best to have just widescreen wallpapers. As the empty space really adds to the feeling of siting under a cherry blossom tree.

I really like your idea of adding Kanji beside the trees~~it make the whole wall special for its japanese aura~~:p
i've got my 1600x1200 one and it makes me feel even better because of not the scan being extended so much~~but the extension does worth compliments also~~
