Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!

Back for a little while!

Figured that because the uni schedule was winding down before the summer holidays, I'd make a new wallpaper. That and a rather uneventful Easter break...

Basically a complete remake of a Touhou scan I found on an imageboard. Vectored in Illustrator and background painted in Photoshop. Overall, took around 3 weeks on and off. Should be one of a few new wallpapers. Comments and suggestions appreciated.

Absolutely beautiful. The lighting in particular was well done and I love the little designs around her outfit. My single complaint would be that the maple leaves look extremely two dimensional given the depth in this wall, but all in all, a wonderful job!

Ooh wow, an instant fav for me!
The composition is just beautiful! I love the colours too.
Your vector is really nice; love those lines. Those little sparkles add a nice magical touch to the wall.
You also used the leaf brush really well; better than I have seen it used before. ^_^
I love how the character's face is put to be the focus of the wall, and the halo-like sun behind her.
+fav! This wall needs more love! Seems like noone comments anymore.

Omg a pwnsome colorful wall that looks good! xD the vectoring is so nice, and i love the lighting. Though I wish you linked the original image x]
only thing I can say is that her feet look a little weird (toes), but other then that, wonderful job! :D

Okay, the quality of the image is just GREAT, however it's the great use of color that I just love.

The colors of the wallpaper are just so warm... really draw you in.

Oh my! this one is incredibley nice!
you did a great job vectoring the scan, its totally flawless!
i like the color toning and the sharp colors as well,
the background is totally beautiful! the painty style always
amaze me. the lighting is great and the glowy
sparkles around are just nice! the vetor part has a nice
thin outlines and it is clean! though i'm not fond of the leaves
around her. double love for the widescreen version too!

pretty good vector, great colors. you could've done better on the random dots, however the rest is looking greatly

Very, very sharp !
Usually hard to pull off something so redish-purple. It works for me.
Her eyes though. When I close up on the eyes it seems they are still part of the extracted character image. Gah, I dunno what I'm talking about, just something about her eyes that caught my attention, I'm just dumb. But I like the wall, nice job.
