My antidote to happy girl with fluffy clouds walls. BLooOOD!
This past weekend I basically spent rewriting the layout for DA! in preparation for its 6th birthday on Thursday. Thankfully I'm mostly done, but I am quite burned out from trying to decipher the PHP I wrote a year ago and really, really needed to make a wallpaper to clear my mind.
Somehow, my mind works in a very morbid fashion, because I traced
this manga cover scan and made into a bloodfest. If you remember my Kino "Bodyguard" wall, it's made in the same fashion, with the red gradients and with several layers of blood splatter brushes. Everything red except for Ed's golden eye and the Gate's white eye, to draw you into the focal points by their stark contrast.
Yes, he and the eye are intentionally off-center. It's generally not good design sense to perfectly center stuff (although I totally fail at Rule of Thirds).
Title because it's that ubercreepy Eye and shadowy hands from beyond the gates. I swear I'm gonna have nightmares tonight x_x
Additional resolutions will be available at DA! Desktop Anime on Thursday, because I can't update the database until after the new layout goes live since I'm using a new set of SQL tables. I SWEAR next year all I'll have to do is update the CSS and be done with it. REALLY I WILL.
