I finished this wallpaper while back, last summer, but didn't bother to post it due to bizzyness/lazyness.
I took the original scan and decided to extents the left side to expand it into a wallpaper size dimension. It came out ugly and inconsistent. So, then I redit the sand and ocean but left the orignal character scan intact. But, it still didn't look coherent. So, I reedit and retouched the whole background with minimal to little retouching of the actual character scan. As I extented the left side, the middle to left region felt empty so I decided to add a beach prop of some sort. I thought of props from buckets, umbrella, basket, beach ball. The beach ball seem to be a logical common sense choice so I decided with that.
I think the seamlessly flow of the background was the most time consuming part because I thought just redoing and extending the left side would be easy. The original scan of the image was pretty dull and lack contrast and brightness. It didn't seem like a beautiful day on a beach. I think I've liven things up compared to the original. Hope everyone likes it.
I think this is one of my last wallpaper in the Shuffle! series for now. I still have a few more chracters from the series to finish though. I'll finish them when they're done, which is whenever.
