Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!

Re-L Mayer one more time.
I started the wallpaper some weeks ago, then dropped it, and finally tried to finish it yesterday.
The idea was to recreate my current signature, converting it in a wallpaper.
I also added the lines of the lyrics of the opening song, Kiri.
Maybe a little messy, but the final dark-golden coloring helped a lot, in my opinion.

Time: 2/3 hours.
Photoshop CS2.
30 layers, +/-.
Light brushes from Lil-broken-angel.
Scan from MiniTokyo.
3D Renders - Can't credit the two I used, the person who shared them didn't make it as well, am sorry!

A little Post Scriptum...
ABOUT THE RESOLUTION: I made the wallpaper in 1024x768 because the 3D renders I worked with had this same resolution. Not because I just ignore the existence of higher resolutions... I usually make wide wallpapers.
Ans so, please avoid touching this point, I already know about it...
You may think, instead, that I made it thinking in a self-use.

I really like this! I really like that Re-L goes from solid to transparent. The use of brushes is really nice too! Very great style. If fits the series nicely!

You know, I was thinking that your signature was really cool, so when I saw a wallpaper that looked like it, I was quite thrilled, lol. I really like the design of the background and it really suits the sci-fi look of the character (she's so pretty!). Oh, the colors are also really nice~

I think the text would look better if they were a little transparent so that they can blend a little into the background. I don't really like the bars at the top and the bottom of the wallpaper and would prefer that it was just the character and the renders. Nonetheless, I'm going to fave!

Lovely wallpaper, I really love the color scheme and how the sparkles match her eyes so well. I just wish it was a bigger resolution... Still, even stretched to fit my 1680x1050 res, it looks pretty good, which is quite the achievement.
