A friend of mine asked me to make a wall out of that scan (which I got from Kei's website, by the way), and so I did - but, now, come here looking for critics and suggestions. (I know the best place for such would be Session Zero, possibly - but, well, it is a rather finished piece, anyway).
Anyway. For anybody curious, that tree is from Shinta's tree brushset, yes (the background trees are as well, mostly, but I don't think they matter much, since they're small and faded). I explain. I had three options: use Shinta's overused brushes, make one by myself, or vector a tree. I failed at the second option, and wasn't too willing to try the third one, since I feared the end result wouldn't really go well with the scan style. So, well. Lazy way. I suck, I know. ._.
The grass was custom. Other brushes from various sources (akthar2/scully7491 @ DA, desktopanime, spyglass...), as well as the textures/stock photos (resurgere@DA, stock exchange, desktopanime...).
The japanese text isn't a show-off. It's plain katakana - "crimson fields" and the character name. Two facts led me to go for kana: the fact I couldn't find a fitting font (I suck) and the fact I didn't know the proper romanization of the character's full name (and I wanted to leave it in, so).
Took two days to make it. Waller's block period included.
Criticism and suggestions are more than welcome. Just don't beat me senseless, please. >_>
