This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

Ok well i uploaded this wall b4..but was not satisfied with the BG i made..so decided to redo the whole thing..so i was like..

KALICO! i dunno what to do, she suggested a battlefield or an openfield..since i'm cool i chose openfield >.>
and i gotta say LOVES for kolicky for the suggestions =3

my original intent of the whole thing looking like a pop-up book stayed =3 LOVES for me >.> (or pop-art) whatever, pop-up book was what was in my mind >(

i havent played this game so excuse my ignorance of laharl's personality or the nature of the BG doesnt suit him, it was just me throwing mah ideas in it

This is truely awesom now. I mean, it does exactly what it says on the tin - pop up book and looks great for it.

It's innovative high quality stuff as per usual :D... In fact I would have loved to feature this myself, but the timing is kinda off - it'd mean three game walls in a row and two disgea walls in a row :/.

Pop-up books are so fun! That's what I'm doing in school right now. Love the wall and Laharl fits perfectly. lol He looks so mad at his surroundings that it works.

This is freakin' awesome. I don't suppose there's a 1280x1024 version anywhere? is 1280x960 a common resolution? If so, pardon my ignorance.

Wow, as I big Disgaea fan I'm always on the lookout for Disgaea wallpapers and I have to say that this is quite a good one. The whole piece is so bold and exciting to look at and the overall texture is very spiffy. The pop-up style worked out very well.

I agree that the background doesn't really reflect Laharl's angst and want to be bad but the look meets the overall feel of the game to me.
