My second vector and my first using the shape-fill method which really blows my older stroke-based vectors away. This wallpaper was inspired by both the R1 release of Il Teatrino as well as its excellent box art. It was only natural to vector Triela as she is the most prominent character on the cover and I really like her pose. The scan I used was horribly undersized and a larger one could not be sourced, so even though the vector turned out great, I imagine it could have been better.
The premise of the wall was decided before I even started the vector; Sig Sauer is a very popular choice among gun enthusiasts (myself included) and a number of characters in the anime tote them constantly. Coupled with Triela's pose, the idea for Sig advertising their new postergirl was a no-brainer. The background is composed of vectored versions of parts diagrams as well as a cutaway of a P225. I also decided to plug Il Teatrino on the bottom to make it appear a little more authentic. I know the new art style of Il Teatrino has gotten a bad rap, but that box art really spoke to me. :D
