Its been almost a year since i posted my first wall, work and some other stuff made me quit walling back then but im back again :)
My first Rozen maiden wall was a bit simple yet some people liked it :P
I promised Warrior back then that i would put allot more effort and spend more time on my next wall and that i did :)

Were to begin...first of all, credits and big thanks to "miky1103" for the amazing vector and "Stephanie Shimerdla" at (www.brushes.obsidiandawn.com)
for the wonderful flower brushes :)


No matter how beautiful vectors are on their own they are a bit flat so the first think i started working on was the shadows and highlights on Suigintou
to give her a more third dimensional look but what started as a few shadows and highlight ended to be a composite of 127 layers after 8 hours of straight work,
i worked individually on each fold of cloth and strand of hair and to make sure that everything would be as best as i possibly could make, this wallpaper
was made at a resolution of 3277x2048 and i found my self working with a brush of just 1-2 pixels at 800x magnification.

Add another 60 layers for the flowers+ shadows/gradients/effects and another 20 layers for the background which was a photo of a really old Gothic bridge
(ofc after so many layers of filters and effects not much of it is left but it blended with the rest of the image beautifully in my modest opinion)

I wasn't sure about what this wall would be about initially,usually i just start working and let things flow but after a weeks work I'm satisfied
with the result and i thought it was time to submit it :)


Quick facts:

Layers... 200+ but i haven't merged anything so could be alot less :P

Time till completion ... Hm..lets see...first go was 8 hours, 1 day break just to clear my mind and then another 5 hours till i settled with the concept,
another day off, another 6 hours and the wall was pretty much ready..or at least i thought it was xD..after that i had it as my wall and been working on it for 3 days enhancing some details here and there.

Revisions... 5 or 6 so far.

Color palette... I love dark blue/purple hues, blue conveys a feeling of restfulness while violet is associated with nobility and conveys elegance
a combination that suites and compliments the wall imo.

No title on the wall?... Nope, i tried to add a tittle but no matter what it ruined everything..after almost 3 and a half hours i gave up and decided
it was best to leave as it is :P some people will most likely agree, others might not :P

Just widescreen version ?... Yep, Croping or changing the composition to make a normal version wasn't working so after sometime i decided to leave it widescreen.

Anyway I'm rambling :P

PS: just checked the smaller versions that were automatically generater and are somewhat inferior to the original so please view the 2560x1600 if possible ;)

2nd revision within an hour..not realy just uploaded the wrong one at first...pretty much the same except her wings and the lower right part of the dress is darkened a bit to blend with the background better :P
