This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

I've been hesitating to upload this here because I thought that everyone would say it's Kiru ga Suki all over again. It's here only because Maria was so persistent. 0.0

Scan:

This must have been the hardest vector I've ever made. Not because of the complication of the scan but because I decided I should wall originally in my assigned color (orange) instead of following the colors of the scan. Generally, the difficulty of this theme lied in managing to wall in a specific color palette instead of making a normal wall and then colorize it. I think I gained a lot of experience from making this wall.

The vector took me most of the time so I had to rush the bg...
So, there is some weird popart doodling (and whoever thinks he/she sees a Spongebob in there is right) along with some other stuff that came out of my mind.

Thanks goes to `flyindreams for the tips and to everyone in the team for the support. It was nice working with everyone. ^_______^

You outline vectoring skills need polishing. Some of the lines aren't curving nicely but I see nothing else to dislike! :D Your little drawings may look a bit awkward with such a sexy scan but they are still cool and funny. Gotta love the details ♥ +fav

I like this one orange works nicely and has a mass summer feeling
the only thing i dislike is the clouds and the pattern thing in the foreground
the swirly curly things around the sun could use some work too, but thats just a minor detail
all in all its a pretty sweet wall =]

Ahhh and you were hesitant to upload this WHY? Kiru ga suki is like my favorite wallpaper on this whole website! It's the most beautiful paper on my 24" monitor. And this is wonderful! I can certainly appreciate all of the hard work you put into it because everytime I still look at Kiru ga Suki I see something different in the design. Thanks so much for this one. ^^ Good job

I like the way you vectored in only one color scheme, orange looks nice! I'm also enjoying the little drawings in the background (though *cough* Sponge Bob?)
The sun might indeed need some work and I personally don't like the dotted thing in the down corners.. It looks like cheese xD
But it's a fav, at the very least for the vector!

Whohohoo! Amazing! You really managed to choose the right colors for the bg! I fell in love with the background, it is way too cool! (O.k. maybe that part at the bottom with the dots is not the best IMO - some texture would have been better, but everything else is just perfect, so it makes up for it!)

Oh wow, this is stunning! It's so popular in an instant, too. That just shows how incredible the work is that you've done, and you shouldn't have hesitated to submit it! You really put a lot of effort into this, and it shows. I'm glad that you learned something from this wallpaper, too! I bet it was hard to stay in the color palette like you had to...wow! It looks so much better with you doing that instead of colorizing. :D I like the little detailed doodles, and I think the sun, texture, and everything makes this stand out! It's summery indeed. I just wish you made it in standard resolution...I don't have a widescreen. :( Oh well. Fantastic job! *faves*

Im not against the BG as you mentioned, however the char placement could be better. you should've tilted the char a bit, kinda looks a stick on the widescreen version

The colors are coolio and the bg is great! Yeah, maybe it is a bit like your Kiru ga Suki wallpaper (the bg I'm talking about), but only a TINNY bit. It's still cool as hell.
