As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. Hoo-raay. Next attempt X)
Uhh...this is the scan i used and i found it on the gallery just recently. I found this scan kinda hard to extract because there was SO many small details i didn't pay attention of and i have to rework it again and again until it was fitting. The bg itself is a photo stock. Here is the stock i used. What i did to the stock is that i put median filter on it and overlayed the layer, after that i colorized the layer via saturation tool.
The sun is a brush, i put an orange outer glow on it so it doesn't seem too 'white'.

The edges of the scan are really jaggedy in some parts, but it's a nice scan and goes well with the bg.
Love the bg btw. The colours are beautiful. Love the painted look of it all. :)
The overall composition is great too, could just use some touching up on the scan's extracted edges. :)

btw, nice texture you've used there, and I also like the idea of using the cloud and the background is nicely done.

however, i think the front clouds could be better.
maybe by making it less visible. And you know you can improve the text, because it (I think) doesn't blend well enough with the Background.
and some extraction (well, only a bit) problems.

Hmm... well its not like i dont like dark motives with lots of red and black, in fact i have a liking for them
but here it seems slightly overdone... oversaturated maybe?
ok, it creates a devilish atmosphere and blends well
yet i can only see kamuis face clearly, all the rest seems very undistinct
makes it look messy and hard to enjoy
the font is pretty cool and the feather adds a special something to it
the bg photo was a good choice
and people are right, extration has small flaws

And so I hear my voice again,
the tale of the bitter man, here I am.
Shake the silence and hear what it says.

I really like what you did with this scan. The colors are so much brighter than the original and I really love the "painted" feel. You background is also very nice... I love the clouds! Nice work!

It's Nice Wallpaper.
Red Storm in This Wallpaper is Really Really Majesty and Heavy. Combination of Hot Flames and Tough Clouds is not only Realistic but also Fantastic. It's Amazing and Incredible Symphony of Hell and Devil.
Their Flowings and Their Curved Lines May be Dancing of Dragons. They are Powerful and Delicate. They Do not Hide Their Degnity and Majesty Overawing Watchers.

The different shades of the clouds capture my heart... It looks so amazing and it seems as though the character is flying toward the bright light, which is the sun. A devil of the night taking on the Gods, that's what I feel when I look at this wallpaper.

The wallpaper gives off a very grand feeling. The background is amazing. Love the way Kamui sort of blends with the wallpaper.

If there is one thing, I suggest giving Kamui's skin more tone like the rest of the wallpaper. Right now, his skin colour is too flat compared to the rest of the wallpaper.

I know how hard it is to extract a Clamp's artwork but it should stop us to keep retrying. Some parts of the scan has jagged line which can be easily clean off.

Overall, I love the wallpaper.
