This is my second wallpaper and also for a contest on another site. It was made more for personal use in the end solely because the theme is supposedly Yule. I celebrate because I'm Wiccan and since the contest involved only the guideline of Holiday, I wanted to try something different. I tried to put a lot of hints of what holiday I was dedicating the wall to.
Long explaination of the symbolism if anyone is interest (though might bore you):
SPOILER (click to view)The holiday I decided on was Yule, which is generally celebrated December 21st (or some times the 22nd considering) and is a Pagan holiday. My choice on character was pretty biased in all actuality (don't hit me) solely due to her clothing despite the fact Honami works in Celtic magic. The symbol on her cheek and the one near my signature are both recognizable Wiccan/Celtic symbols. I tried to keep in tie with the character, but the one on her face is more so a Celtic symbol---in origin---than a Wiccan one known as the Triquetra. Wiccan wise it is believed to represent the Mother Goddess & the number 3 and the one by my signature is also relating to the number three and Mother Goddess. I would have liked to fit more symbols in, to represent the Father God, but I felt that staying true to the character was necessary, too.
So, with the wording since Yule is the longest night of the year, the Father God is considered the sun and since the sun is beginning to return for warmer days the sentence, "Here I am to celebrate the birth, that welcomes the sun to the earth" is merely a tribute to the sun/Father God that he is coming back and show himself more often. "Hail and Welcome" is merely something I've found personally common in group celebrations, almost an equivalent to Amen if you will.

here, I tried to clean it up as much as possible.
For those who wanted this wall without some text or all try here or here.
Thanks for all the comments in Session Zero that helped me make a few changes here and there to spice it up. I'm very grateful~!
