This is a wallpaper I created a while back for Halloween (it was October when I originally corrected it so I thought why not).

My inspiration for it came after I watched Yami to Bōshi to Hon no Tabibito and fell in love with Carnelian's art style. The original image worked out great because...she's a witch. I mean look at her; she has the hat, the cat, and almost has a broomstick (lol).

The background was made using some techniques I learned for making realistic cloud effects. Also used a similar technique to make the starry night sky. Used a moon stock photo and adjusted it a bit to get it crimson red. Then I decided to add a "magic trail" to the staff, though it may have been a little much.
