This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

Phew...Okay. I lost count how many times I've tried to make a wall with this character and every time it got rejected... .( )# emoticon

So, this time I vectored the character (I hope it looks good, it was my first try vectoring), repainted and shaded him. As for the BG, I wanted something abstract and artistic, hence the paint blobs and spatters. I've had a lot of trouble choosing the right font so I hope this one is good.

Also, I'd like to thank °leviatan, °Dignity and ~fye-lover for their suggestions and comments.

I don't like the character that mutch, but the vectoring looks very nice and clean.
What i like the most of this wall is the background. It looks like oil with plants strugglin to grow. It's abstract , so that's what i got out of it.

The glasses in his mouth looks a little bit weird. But i suppose that's not your fault
And i am not a big fan of the colour use of the abstraction (Blobs and spatters) part.
This Font is fine. The 'blobs and spatters' are creative enough. An fancy font wouldn't look that nice. <3 emoticon

Very nice work, aside from the small resolution it's perfect in every way, I absolutely love that color blue it bursts off the page in a explosion of vibrancy, for your first time vectoring I'm completely impressed, this looks like a pro did it, the paint splatters are great I love abstract art and the black and white mixed with the lovely blue is classy all the way. I think it's a great wallpaper. Of course it's a simpler one, but not always we need detailed and artistic backgrounds to gain a good composition.
A bigger resultion would be better tough, if you vector, then already in big.
But still nice.

Have I mentioned that I love your vector?? *checks memory* Yea, I guess I did xD the way you made the shadings on his hair looks just so nice < 3 And the blue color scheme doesn't hurt either~ Besides, the background is simple without being plain, and you made great use of brushes~

P.S: This font looks better, but I kinda hope for a more elegant one which looks like handwritten script =) and you are welcome for the comments too~

It's a beautiful wallpaper. Simple yet the designs are appealing. The shading and vector really gives off the radiance of this wallpaper. The guy there is definitely hot with all the blue colors. The design on the left part is interesting. Good job in making use of the custom shape tool.
