Been a while! here's something rather minimalistic. at one point, it was going to be more filled up. but in the end, i figured the void went with the mood projected by the characters. >__< skill-wise, it's basic stuff. i vectored a manga page, put in gradients by masking shapes, and added patterns, which i made with the pencil and brush tools. as for typography, it's my usual layering style. the half-relevant phrases are pretty broken up this time, so i'd be surprised if someone can piece everything together.

with hindsight, it seems like i'm following the lead set by my first dogs wall -- grayscale, patterns, manga vector, and text-as-art. :O everything is optimized for the 1920x1200 version but the others should be okay.
