As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. Do have a look at this beautiful wallpaper!

Well, returning to the wallpapers topic, I have made this project, which begins with the idea of make a character that's "fade".

You can see the facial details, how the hair changes in the background and how the character is being "absorbed" by the "imagination" of a dream...

That's the idea.

It would have been cooler if you would have worked more on integrating the scan's hair with your abstract vectored lines and stuff

Wow, this wall really looks great! I think that you pulled off what you were trying to achieve nicely. I like how it's pretty simple with a touch of abstract. Now if only it were bigger... oh well, what can I do? =]

I think its neat, and I like the colors. Id use it but, the res is way too small. Try and make your walls 1600x1200 from now on. ;)

Artsy and original, I like it. Might look even better if more of the girl's hair were absorbed into the lines, so it all connects together more. Maybe that would make it a bit too cluttered, I don't know, but you could probably pull it off. It does look good, nice job!

I don't recognize the girl though...

There's a little bit of unclear fuzz around parts of the hair, but damn! colours are really awesome, and you've managed to perfectly mix style and design...the brushing and layout, how everything kinda just explodes out of her hair is really cool!

back to this wallie, i love the swirls and the gradient..
and i appreciate the earth elements you added to the gal's hair
the only problem is, the hair can be improved..
it seems a tad bit weird to the gradient for me @@"

Range Murata's characters are perfect for the idea that you were going for. It definately looks like a person who is saturated with imagination. Good job, most of the time you don't see walls with a lot of content, they are just pretty to look at. It is nice that you are putting legitimate thought into it.

I love the colours in this wallpaper. Most of all though I love the way all the swirly designny bits flow out of her hair. I don't think you need to make any changes with the way they fit in, I quite like the fact that there's a disctinction between her hair and some of the swirlyness it gives it more interest.

Great work, I really love it so it's instantly a fave from me! I can't wait to see more ^_^
