Hmm, first I'd like to say good job. The tree...has too much branches o_o; I think you should have kept it simple and not put so much work into it. It also blocks a lot of the birds which serve as a good contrast. Now the text really gets to me, that shine is just too bright and blocks out the letters abit.
For the characters, you did a good job at cutting them out. I see you do the same thing I used to do which is blur the edges as to make sure they're not too sharp and blocky right? Well that really makes the character's lines look weird. (you can see it on my sdRO wallpaper)
I love the coloring of the background. The only problem is the character's colors don't match up with it. They're really dull...a way to overcome this is to duplicate the layer and change the top layer's property to Overlay or Softlight...what ever floats your boat. Try playing around with the layer properties as they do help with colors and tones.

Great wall, I love that badass attitude emanating from it. That sunset tone is really nice.

I really like this wall. It has a In control type of fell from the wall.
