Please full-view~~ Both versions are nice. :3 Yes, I made another widescreen one because apparently lots of people have widescreen monitors these days! But the standard version is just as pretty. ^_^ That's right, I said pretty. It's a rare day when I compliment my works. XD But, for once, I like what I produced this time around, so I hope you guys do, too. ♥ Berni-chan, this is dedicated to you because, well, I said I'd dedicate it to you...this is my first full wallpaper (and vector) that I made on CS3.
I've wanted to vector another black and white manga scan because my first attempt went pretty well. And what do you know! My first time vectoring from b/w was also a Ritsuka scan~ Hehe, I guess I just find him too adorable to pass up! [So do college-age guys that like 12 year old boys. *cough*Soubi*cough*] So yeah, I chose this scan:

And then the fun part of vectoring began...about 2 weeks ago. It took about 12 days of work...well, roughly and hour of work each day, but I got it done. Lots of changing. LOTS of changing. I had so much trouble with choosing colors. -__- HERE is my pathetic progress thing. XD I didn't take many screens, and two of them look pretty similar, but yeah...you can kinda see how I changed my mind with the horrid colors. Kind of. :/ This vector was also really hard because it was my first time using shape layers for basically everything! I only used paths for his hair's outline, and I used my tablet for the fur on his coat. I know lots of you use shape layers all the time, but I only do for coloring, so this was different for me. I like how the shape layers provide more variation in the outlining. :3 My favorite part of his outfit would have to be the buttons...the buttons and his scarf. < 3
[standalone vector is here.]
Ritsuka is a fashionable kid now. Very fashionable. According to one of my friends, these colors are going to be hot this fall/winter season, so watch out! XD Anyhoo, so after lots of advice and changing with the vector, I got to work on the background a couple days ago. I wanted snow...snowy snow. Snow in hot summer August. Something different!! At first, the bg was going to be fallish with orange leaves, but after I changed the colors to these dark ones, I figured winter would be better. :D So the bg was all brushwork, gradients, and the fence was done by my friend Oli-chan. She insists it's the "wobbly fence." I don't think it's that bad! But remember, the fence is not the focal point--Ritsuka is!!
I hope you like it! ♥ Cause I do~
