Sky / Cape
I happen to be very fascinated and made the decision to challenge my self by creating the most realistic clouds possible. The brushes I used are dry brushes in the standard presets for photoshop. I chose them 'cause the so closely resemble the moisture particulate that clouds are made of. The clouds are hand painted with the brush tool and then they are applied with a gradient mask in the blending options. As the cape was vectored, and is sharper than the original image to give the wall a very epic perspective.
Mountains
No, I did not paint the mountains I extracted them. I am working on developing the right technique to do so. But, I'm not that far yet. I did however clean them up a bit. They were all in the same focal range to start with so I have filtered them to create more distance. Also, I tweaked the color because it was extremely desaturated, and had lost it's vividness.
