Long-time graphics artist, first time AP submitter. I usually make walls only for my personal use, but I saw that the FFXII wallpaper section was absolutely tiny, so I've decided to post this one up for people looking for something new.
Art: Shiro Amano [Square Enix] for Dragon Quest & Final Fantasy in Itadaki Street Special (Japan PSP)
Shiro Amano is probably best known for his Kingdom Hearts manga series adaption. I absolutely loved the way he drew the FFXII party in chibi style, hence the need to have these chibis on my desktop all day long.
Originally, Vaan was holding a star fruit, but I've changed it to a Holy Mote for fun and to make it match the lightly glowing background. I also re-outlined everything and did a lot of manual cleaning and colour tweaking, among other things.
The character scans I had to work with are SMALL and in their actual size on the 1680x1050 wall, so I can't provide higher resolutions. For people with smaller resolutions, try downloading a larger version and centering it if you prefer the characters bigger.
