Primary DERKA
I finished this wall a week ago or so, but I didn't want to submit it. I wasn't quite sure whether it looked good or not.
So I was the second girl to choose my scan and decided for Kyousuke. Since I had no clue what this series is about, I first looked for AMVs. I recommend this one; after I finished the wallpaper, I also watched the series. It's pretty good and not as confusing as I read in reviews. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the wallpaper with Komugi-chan (and curious about the waller hehe).
A making-of with pictures (yaaaay!):
1. Get-a-scan
- Original scan

- Vectored scan (with ugly jagged lines)
- Re-colored the vector and repaired the lines
2. Think-about
The problem is the view, it was difficult to find something, so I chose something more 'abstract'.
- Concept (neat, isn't it?)
I wanted to make a church first ( stained glass of course), which was too difficult; so my second thought was a floor made of stained glass with a concrete cover. This cover breaks because of Kyousuke's mutant powers and the light from below (from some kind of very colorful hell) shines through these spots.
3. Make-it
I added the cross with a little river of blood, drew the concrete cover and the stones that are flying, made the glass shine and added the shadows and highlights. The outlines are based on your advice on my Blood+ wallpaper (thanks so much!). At last, some colorful shine was added.
- The vanishing points, my best friend

- Stained glass

- And how little you can see from it (so cruel)

- So many colors wheee lol

4. Text-a-font
'Wie Schuppen von den Augen' is a German ( the site is also Doitsu, very wrong grammar haha) proverb. I'm not sure about proverbs in English but it means when you see or understand something very cleary, literally scales are falling from your eyes. I thought it fits because after Kyousuke was stabbed by his mother, he became a monster looking for his twin sister (don't worry, it's the 1st episode). And while he was on his "journey", he transmuted again. I won't spoil the story too much, but then the truth was as cleary as it never had been. Haha okay, now I'll stop, please tell me your opinion; I'm curious if there is anyone who watched this series. Maybe at least someone who watched Nurse Witch Komugi-chan?
Anyway, I'm not planning on changing this wallpaper's concept, but maybe some little changes before I officially submit it to Derka. But I'm glad about every comment, even if I don't reply (sorry Sandra ;_;), I read each and every comment.
