A very simple quikc vector i did of a scan of motoko. i decided to put only some level of detail in some parts like the face and the crane, then make the rest of the figure just black.

To Tell the Truth,I Think Kusanagie Motoko is not Beautiful but She Has Impressive Feeling Nobody Cannnot Forget Her.
This Wallpaper is Filled with Simple and Clean Sence.
What are Her Wishes in the Folded-Paper Crane and Her Eyes?
Thanks for Your Good Work.

Certainly this is something else! Typically when a wallpaper is dominated so obviously by one color undoubtedly the image leaves much to be desired. This however, is a surprising exception!
The vector of Motoko is masterfully done. The shadows, with their particular coloring scheme of various shades of blue give this minimalist piece fantastic depth and a unified look. The details, while ceratinly the miniority of this piece in relation to the black, are exceptionally done, notably the paper crane, her gloves/fingers and most striking to me, Motoko's eyes.
The only issue I have with the quality of your wallpaper are some artifacting issues around the hair and hand areas, which aren't overly obvious, but become more visible upon closer inspection. It's only a minor gripe though and I'm not trying to downplay this wallpaper in any fashion, I just thought you'd like to know.
Certainly you've managed to capture Motoko's character from the Stand Alone Complex series, the sensitive side that usually takes a backseat to the commanding exterior that she normally displays.
Great wallpaper, thanks for your efforts!

Awesome coloring in this wall! I love the blue shadows! They match the image and background so well. The vector is simple, but fits into the wallpaper so well. Great job, and keep up the good work!

Great wall! Would've gone with a paler color for the background. But it still looks awesome!

This is one of my favorite walls here! I really love this style and want to make a wallpaper similar to it - a vector with the bold colors and contrast. It's very striking and effective. Thanks for the inspiration. ^_^

Too bad we don't see more GitS walls with "orizuru" theme. Really like the wall >> in particular (for some reason) the rather bright blue shadow on the Major's body and th origami tsuru.

This one is my favorite GitS wallpaper of all time.. beautiful Motoko, love the petals, origami crane, and the colors.. her expression is wistful and it seems like she is recalling a boy and his origami maybe? ;) Top notch work.. thank you so much!

Your minimalism and choice to create heavy shadow really pulls the emotion together. Well done.

Wow, I remember that episode. I used it to relearn how to fold an origami crane and then to do it one handed. This wall really captures the emotions from that whole plot-line of the show.
