While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

I got the picture from anime alliance.

Man I had to clean it up really good I had to extract every bad part of this scan. As you can see on the wallpaper I extended that blonde's girl shotgun. It was hard to draw it. But, I manage to fix it. I use textures to make the wallpaper gloomy.

Okay the background...Yes, I made it from scratch. I'm actually learning new techniques on photoshop. For now on I'm making the backgrounds on my own...NO more stock photos...lol..I made the buildings everything...It took me 6 hours last saturday. Decided to submitted here. Grunge wall enjoy.

There's a strange looking vertical line in the middle of the wallpaper. ^_^; I'm not sure about one side of the floor being darker than the other, and the darker side is separated by that weird vertical line, so it really looks strange. And the scan extraction needs some more work, particularly on Triela's hair and hands. Also, what I think are supposed to be clouds look more like white colored smoke because they're covering the front buildings. If those clouds really are smoke, maybe you could make them darker. But if you wanted clouds, don't cover the front buildings. :D

Great job on doing the whole thing from scratch, though. :)

The perspective of the buildings is a bit too far as if girls stand on a really high bridge X3 And the luck of colour is not making a good link with the scan ^^' Keep polishing your skills n_n b

Excellent extraction job on the scan. My only gripe with this is that the girls look too sharp compared to the background, it's a bit too heterogenous of a mixture.

But aside from that little bit this is a real nice wall. Good work.

Hmm...I love the idea for the wall! The extraction can do some better work, but that's not a big deal =P The bg looks great if you made it from scratch! The clouds look a tad weird being in front of the buildings...try playing around with the opacity. hmmm...maybe you can change the lighting around a bit? Cause there doesn't seem to have a definite light source and yet your chars are so bright =P This is a great wall, don't get me wrong. Keep up the good work!

Background is nicely done, very artistic :) the clouds kinda look as they are in front of buildings?
as highknees said, the char still has some scan effect, a little more cleaning required

Oooh gunslinger girl! Yay! Great job on the background claud! Makes it even more awesome since everything thing was done from scratch. The colors certainly do match the mood and setting of scan image. I like the texture as well.

Girls with guns...always a wonderful picture..
all looking serious too...
i like the classic feel you added to this wallie...it's like a old picture from a lost photo album...
just classic..the faded colours add to the mood
and the cloudy, misted and textured background is a good contrast to the girls...
making them stand out yet not sticking out...
