Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!
I found a tutorial from http://www.webdesign.org by author 'MickM.com' which I used to make the Retro shooting stars. After that I found a scan which I thought suited well with the stars. It is meant to look like a retro heaven I guess lol. It took me many attempts to get it how I wanted. I know it may seem a bit girly, but it is meant to be a fun bright wallpaper. I have never really made a wallpaper in this kind of style. I did have a lot of trouble making this wallpaper such as shadowing and trying to make the wallpaper fit together. I am not sure if I have got the shadowing completely correct, but I have tried to make it more consistent. My favourite part of the wallpaper is the sun with the face... that is a sun lol... As far as I have been able to find out, the cg picture of Komugi is the work of Saphi (If I am wrong can someone please inform me so that I may correct it?).

LAYERS: All layers including those hidden was about 60-70 layers. Although this wallpaper looks fairly simple it was one of the hardest that I have made and took the most time to make. Wow, this is really really really cute! I'm a little sad that it is not bigger so I can use it, but it is still a great wallpaper! excellent work on the colors matching the scan and the cleaning of the scan. Nice clean background too!
Hahah. that's a really bright and cute wallpaper. it looks great. i like how there are so many colors involved. usually a lot of the wallpapers are one-toned. nice to see a bright colorful wallpaper that's not BRIGHT yellow making it hard to look at. i really like the background with the stars and birds. looks really great with the scan. GOOD JOB.
Very kawaii wallpaper, The colors and designs used for the background suites the theme and character perfectly, adding more playfulness into the concept. But the two solid 3-D stars in the front grabs too much attention, if you softened them it would look better
