After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!
Well, I've been playing around a lot with Okane ga Nai images even if I'm not very fond of the series and quite frankly, I love this image to pieces. I've been trying to make something with this image for quite a while now, so I'm kind of happy I finally managed something decent.
A few hours (6+) went into the wall and it consists approximately thirty layers. Fonts used are Arial, Times New Roman and Blue Highway Condensed. Lyrics are from Britt Nicole's The Lost Get Found song. Outside textures are from Texture King.
The wallpaper was originally created in 2048x1536 resolution, but I got a little worried about the quality, so I dropped it to 1920x1200 instead. There are a few slight alignment differences in the widescreen and normal views because I had to shift things around a little to look nice, but overall, it's okay.
What took the longest was the color tweaking. I'm not sure how satisfied I am with the outcome, but I'm not horrified by it either, so I'd say it's decent. It's a bit on the more simple side, but I was trying to stay away from grunge, as I tend to make most of my graphics grungy. I'm also not sure if it's just me, but it looks slightly blurry to me, around the text...but I can't really tell since everything's been blurry to me lately. Haha. ;__;
The scan is just so pretty, and I agree with you the text is a bit blurry. I think it's because you added a duplicate layer of the text like a shadow. Maybe if you turn the shadow to a white color, it will make the text not look so blurry and pop out at ya. I also suggest turning the font from green to blue, since the colors on the character's scan seem to sway towards the blue side. The textures are pretty and not to grungey at all, but the background still needs a bit more to it. Great job on the extraction, and fog on her. Keep up the good work.
So pretty~ *0* It's been a while since I've seen any new walls for this series, and the art is so pretty for it too! o: I really like the colors and the simplicity of the wall (though if anything more were added, it totally wouldn't look anywhere near as good -nodnod-). The text looks really lightly faded in some places, but it's not really noticeable. /wouldn't have noticed it if you didn't mention it. >.>;;
Simple but very pretty, lovely effects. Don't care much about the text since i usually prefer wallpapers completely textless, but it's not bothering. Good work.
Beautiful typography! I love the multiple lines, that lovely green shade, the nice level of opacity. Beautiful mix of serifed fonts with the bold sans-serif main text! Great work!
The whole deal looks very nice, there's one thing that bugs me, the text, you should've stayed on the same color scheme and make it blue. Other than that, good job.
