After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!
I was experimenting on how to produce rays of light. When I got the effect that I wanted I decided to make a wallpaper out of it. I rummaged through my collection of scans and found nothing. I found this scan of Suiginto. I downloaded started my work.
Another BG problem came because I saw that having just rays of light for a BG is kinda plain and empty. I was thinking of a stained glass BG, but I thought that it wouldnt be proper for the lighting effects that I created so I created curtains at the back part. It was just a matter of motion blur and warping and a bit of smudging and of course vectoring to get the curves. phew! It's done!
Time: 3 days... right after I finish my Black Rock Shooter Wallpaper...I'm too addicted!
Layers: 50+ for Suiginto, 20+ for the curtains and light effects.
Sheila's wallpaper factory has switched speed, lol.
The background doesn't look that much that it has curtains there, it's more similar to faint ice flowers in a secluded space, which looks good for Suigintou. It looks even more icy because the lighting makes it seem so. An indication of where she might be could've been nice, though if it's about the coldness and mysteriousness of the background, she fits there well.
The character looks really good, though the black parts of her clothes aren't in line to the lighting, as there are bright parts on it, and the other parts are much darker. As the light probably comes from above, the darkest parts could be a bit brighter to match the others. Very nice wallpaper though.
Woah! Your best wallpaper yet! This one blows me out of the water! Fantastic character reflection! Lovely smooth background, the subtle coloring is brilliant! This one rules!
Wow this is just lovely! Her eyes really bring this wall to life. I love the simple yet beautiful flow of the curtains in the background. The vectoring and coloring is just perfect. Great job, definite fav from me! ^-^
Nice and clean and pretty, with some good colors. :) The curtain effect is pretty cool. I think there may be too much white haze on her, therefore I think her dress in particular should have darker shadows and blacks. (More contrast!) If you wanted to place a light source in the upper right, use a radial gradient (solid to transparent) and place that layer on, say, color dodge (but you'll need to adjust the opacity and fill amounts so it's not too intense). As for the color of that gradient, you seem to have a blue theme, so you may be consistent and use a light blue, but I would recommend a light yellow or orange to balance the colors of the wall. ;)
Omg o_O. You produce AWESOME wallpapers on a regular basis, eh?? Amazing!
Now to the wall: the background doesn't look like the curtains you know from theathres (you can look at one of my wallpapers where I modified a stock curtain). HOWEVER it looks like those curtains photo-experts put in the background behind a model! It still looks awesome AND it doesn't draw the attention away from the beauty queen in the foreground.
The vector is done VERY carefully, the lines are not jagged or anything, the reflection(s) is/are great. First I got bothered with that right feet of hers, it looks wrong (probably already wrong on the scan), but then again you can interpret it as her inperfection (she's a doll after all, and not one of the most perfect ones (imo)).
I absolutely love the way you worked yourself through the light rays.
Wow i love suigintou walls they always are impressive ^^
the details of the vector are nice, the BG is kind of simple but it has its elegant touch
good work
Ooh wow. This is gorgeous! I'm blown away by your lighting effects~ She really looks like she's on a stage or something...you did really well. It's beautiful! ^^ Nice vector as well. Great job! *faves*
//nice light effects
i really love those curtains in the back
though i think a little more saturation or less white haze like nysha said would make it look better~

She'll smile and sing a song,
Sweet voice and Melty Blood,
It's a hymn for the Crimson Moon.
