Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!

The wall is well done except for the characters. The thing is that the wall is generally soft and pretty, but the chara image is very harsh. It looks like you've gone a bit heavy on the smart blur front. A tiny blur may help or duplicating the layer, blurring it and fiddling with the opacity/blending may help.
On the very bottom left of the charas the edge looks a little like it's just been chopped off too - the angle and look to it seems un-natural somehow. That may just be the original pic, but it looks odd and I'd think about adding a soft curve to it.

Wowies, you made a really nice backgrond for the scan! I adore Aoi Nanase's work! The extractions needs a little work but the colours are really nicely blended together. Great work! Keep it up!
The image of the girls could use a little more touch-up and re-defining since up close, you could see the extraction wasn't completely smooth. I like the pastels and texture look of the background. The glowing soft feathers were a nice touch.
This wall is really nice! I like how you designed the background with the birds and the feathers though the edges of your scan could be blurred. Other than that i love it!

Try doing a gaussian blur overlay or something, it really does help to soften images, and give an 'ethereal' feel to it.
