This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Just wanted to upload one of my wallpapers I made a while back of Full Metal Panic. Only gripe I have is I wish I could've found a higher res pic of the poster image.
Thank you for looking ^^.
Edit (10/29/05): New poster image to the left (which was found here ^^). It was also fit into the BG a bit better, plus the page curl (which I like to keep for that less-than-pristine-look) is now less exaggerated ^^.
Veri unique 'sticky-tape' effects... i absolutely love full metal panic series pnce the 2nd raid comes out, i'll be sticking to the series like glue ^.^ veri good choice of pictures but the poster on the left seems not veri clear.. if not it will be great
Fantastic job on the metal panels! looks very realistic, especially with the bullet holes. yes, it would've been nice if you had higher resolution pictures to work with, but you did great with what you had.
That tape's really cool :). But as you mentioned the quality of the larger image lets it down a little. Also, the folded up edge is a bit over done - it's bigger than it would actually be if that makes sense.
I'm really digging the 'post-up' style. metalic bg, tape, poster, and photos go great with the feeling of the tv show and seems very appropriate, almost like what you would see in a magazine ad (in a good way).
Nice title = wall of steel, I like this WP, I have been searching for decent wallpaper of full metal panic and this one is one of the best for the picture combination and the military stylish background ( STEEl with bullet holes ).

Impressive cellotape effect...i would love it more if the bullet holes are not so shattered all over... and... perhaps a bullet hole though the the largest pic would be nicer...the folded part was not realistic enough...the wall is fine...overall

But... isn't it kind of weird to be using tape on a metal wall like that?
But gd work nonetheless. Perhaps it'll be better if some bullets went through the photos..
Interesting wall, though :).
