This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
A wallpaper I made a while ago.
When I saw the scan on mt, I just had to wall it...
It's a simple scenic wallpaper. Actually, that ws eactly what came in my mind when I first saw the scan XP
The only "difficult" part was that I had to recolour Kaoru's dress to make it fit with the background.
The background looks kinda fake no offense..
maybe you should darken the colours more..give it a 3d look.
and the text is getting in the way..<.>
nice pic though, looks cool here^^
If the moon is up, why is this wall so dark? You need to create some consistency with your lighting, cause right now it's just too dark to see what's going on; if you got a giant full moon you should have light reflecting off the water and everything should have a slightly silvery glow.
Wow, the wall is really dark. i couldn't tell at first what the scan looked like, but it looks great. i really like the trees and the moon thing, it's sooo col^^

It is very dark, but it's well done nonetheless. Everything does look flat without the additional lighting though. You painted Kaoru's kimono pretty well though. It has great ambience and the bg fits perfectly. Nicely done
This scan of Kaoru is probably one of my favorites. I love the colors of this: the blue and purple in the backgroud match the scan beautifully. I especially love the water and the sky. Initially, I thought that this wall was a bit too dark, but I came to appreciate the darkness after putting it as my desktop (after all, it IS nighttime).
However, I'm not that big of the red bush and white smoke. The red bush just looks a bit fake and doesn't fit in well; the white smoke serves no particular purpose either and looks random.
