Seeing that i'd used blue in the background in all my prev walls, i decided to try some other colour this time. i tried these colours as i don't use them that frequently. i guess i could've used the colour of the original pics, but i had really mangled all the colours in order to get the shading to look consistent. after that was the editing. i made kaoru's nose smaller coz it looked too big in the original. removed kenshin from in front of kaoru and removed kaoru's hand that was in front of yahiko. added those patterns on kaoru and yahiko as their clothes were just white, which i thought were too plain looking for the wall
yes i know that the irony is that ken-san is the only one not smiling in this wall. but i guess it's just as well. it retains the action-hero-ness in him. all the pics of kenshin smiling were too cute-ish for the mood i wanted. i did feel tempted to edit his mouth, but then i'd have to deal with the eyes and eyebrows too because kenshin with an evil smile would be very uncharacteristic, but the hair was in the way so i left it just so.
and as for the title, after receiving much public HaTe for the font on my 'hell or high water' wall, i decided to play it safe with perpetua. very basic. well actually, it originally had yellow, cursive text for the title, but i almost puked when i tested it on my own desktop. good thing i saw that.
i did try borders between the characters, but that was a flop coz then they looked like they were behind bars...!
the bamboos are the place the keep your icons. i'm used to putting them on the left. so i always prefer to leave some space there.
i've lost track of how long it took to make this wall. but my slow computer had a hell of a time dealing with it. too 10 seconds or so just to save it each time.
