Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!

Ha! The first BASILISK - Kouga Ninpou Chou wallpaper in the world! (I think.. rofl) XD
You won't be able to find the scan anywhere else.. not even magazines =P because the couple were vectored from screenshots of the opening sequence.
I had to arrange those shots then vectoring it albeit the super lack of details (some of the important details and shadings are made up by me). It's not perfect, but I've tried to make it as close as possible. I think I did a fair job there ^_^'

I'm currently watching this series.. it's really good... as expected from Gonzo productions.. The storyline is appealing, and the graphics are awesome... It's about Gennosuke and Oboro (the couple). Gennosuke is from Kouga Tsuba Village, and Oboro is from Iga Manji Valley. Both ninja factions are in the brink of war and feudal assasinations. They are lovers that deemed to kill each other. >_< How tragic...

Background is also entirely made from scratch.. Kalico said I am allowed to use a moon in there... so ... I include a moon, but only as a visual hint, so it won't distract much attention from the couple.

Yeah it was nice seeing this wall develop.. I think I'd like it even more if I watched Basilisk. Could this be the first of many walls adapted from scenes in opening and ending sequences? XD

anyways lol
i like it a lot. it came a long way from when i first saw it.
the clouds really look much better. add a sense of depth and beauty to the whole thing. but not in that typical trendwhore way XD

i'm supposed to be doing my portfolio, so thats all ima say for now :3

I love this wallpaper and I'm watching the anime right now so I love it even more. Great, great work on the vectoring. The background fits really well with the characters. Gives it that serene feeling. All in all, good job.

Didn't really want to comment since i didn't having anything artistic to add (it is a great wall though) but i do have a slight correction, Gennosuke is of the Kouga clan and Oboro is of the Iga clan. Also the 2 characters pictured are their grandparents Danjou of the Kouga (guy) and Ogen of the Iga (girl).

Actually i went back and doublechecked and i'm pretty sure it's Gennosuke and Oboro. The art for Oboro in this wall threw me off abit she's got a "cuter" look in the show, she looks more "mature" here.

The girl's and guy's eye lashes look a little fuzzy as in thick *_* but i haven't watched this anime so maybe it IS actually like that *_* the dude's hand holding the.. stick? the shading there is a little outta place compared to the other shading. as in the other shadings are more crisp, the one on his hand looks more blurry and painted-on-like :X the background is just fine ^__^ and i'm glad ya didn't make the moon so visible /o/

Very nice, there's some great amount of effort put into this, even though i said before the hands and eyes were messed up- i can't think of a way to do that without even more hours...
basilisk is somewhat confusing with the many names...and the fact that there are two couples (maiN)
