This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
They're not exactly _new_ anymore, but I don't visit the scan gallery often. I've fallen in love with these scans from GSD, so I'm on a walling spree.
Second in the series, I present Lacus Clyne - Withering Flower. Nothing much to say on this one, besides the extraction being a pain. I modified the scan a bit, as her smile was a bit wide and strange-looking. If you couldn't tell by now, the background is the bridge of Eternal. Looking at various screenshots and sources, I built the whole bridge out of scratch. Overall, I think it was recreated fairly well, besides the difficulty I had with the round part meeting the wall. o_______o;;
As for the title? Well... Lacus, the beautiful princess, is the flower... and in the scan, the pose expresses (atleast to me...) fatigue... so that's where 'withering' comes from. Well, doesn't really matter anyways - there's no text on it. ;)
Lol yea i was wondering about the bg. it is from the eternity and you did a great job. XD lacus looks are pretty in this wallpaper and you captured her beauty. wonderful job.

Nothing much to say from my end. You did very well, especially on the extraction of Lacus. Currently, I've been on a spree of watching GS, so I'll get to GSD once I finish. Nice job on the background, although I didn't know what it was at first until you said it. ^_^ Nice work.
Wow, hard to believe that BG was made out of scratch XD The BG colours fit quite nicely with her costume =D Maybe some text would have done it even more justice, in my opinion but then again it might turn out too cramped if you did add some, so yeah... ^^
Cool xD walling while you need to learn eh? xD lol nice job on this...the bridge looks cool...just...not that uh...shiny >_> lol but the composition is good. great job :D~!A

Nice, I think the light effect isn't fit the wallpaper that much but it still make this wallpaper look better, the background is looking cool with the battleship control room view but it will be better if the colour is a little bit brighter, but still this wallpaper is fascinating. Great job

Oh my. this is a lovely wall. the muted colors all work together very well, and although I can't say she looks like she's wilting, I think you did a great re-cg of her mouth. it suits the pensive look on her face - it certainly isn't happy, nor is it uberangsty, just a little sad, a little tired. I love the background, it's very well done - overall I think it's an excellent job. :D *favs it*
