Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!
Whew, the 2nd part of my Carnelian Project. It feels like I will be using the same theme for all three of them. Something bright and cheerful. ^_^
Anyway, this one didn't take me as long as the first, but getting the right background was still quite a hassle to do. And extracting the character, especially some portions of her hair was rather difficult. Especially at those really thin points, where if you make the wrong move, everything disappears. After all that, I'm glad that I managed to clean her up. I extracted her the best that I can, and I hope that it was enough. The background was a conglomerate of stock clouds that I found. Some blending here and there to make sure that the colors matched each other.
In the end, this is how it turned up. I'm rather tired now, and I don't know what else to type, so I just want to give thanks to:

THe girl on the scan looks very pretty (except for her being sort of "ecchi"... but well, doesn't matter... anyway the background suits the image very well.. :inu:
In normal view it looks really good..
but in fullview version the clouds and parts of the carnelian girl look doted
even some colourparts of the body look not that good
and the whole wallpaper looks oversaturaed..
maybe you should fix the parts because then the wallpaper would really be a soft vacacion into the sky
The best one I've seen here, the background just looks really good with her, I agree with Adrima about the doted thing, but I still like it anyway. +fav!!
It's very nicely done, especially the blending - it's hard to spot the separate parts. Nice canvas texture, too. It's got a nice, soft overall feeling, goes well with the scan. Only nitpick is that the scan is lit from the upper right, and so doesn't fit in with the lighting in the background that nicely. Great stuff!
It is very nice overall but the clouds could of been blended a bit better and there are a lot of saturated areas that are a bit troublesome, maybe some overlays would of helped but anyway it's a nice concept, great job!
