This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

Alrighty then (hehe, this phrase reminds me of sarah <3 emoticon

), I haven't done a serious anime wallpaper in a while, this is of course considering that a wallpaper without any vectoring or re-CGing isn't very serious :p so, I wanted to do a dark wall, and had to pick between Gantz and Gilgamesh which are my new obsessions, but seeing as most of gantz scans are ecchi..they didn't really fit my ultimate goal. I took a gilgameh, and vectored it (it was a PAIN IN THE ASS, especially her hair), made a cheap floor, added some blood and so on to make what you have in front of you. : ] enjoy.

"Fair is Foul, and Foul is Fair", well done on the literature reference. Such a Fair and Foul wallpaper I have not seen, though I'm sure it would do Macbeth justice!

The Fair - well done artistically, colour and blend.
The Foul - the wallpaper is still fairly morbid, not what I would choose in a wallpaper - give me chibi wallpapers anytime!

All in all, still a solid submission.

I've been hearing alot about Gilgamash from my Uncle.... and Grandparents (Yeah my family is weird) But this good, dark wall has def got me more interested in checking it out. Nice!

The vectoring on this wall is amazing. It's very dark, gritty, and to me so sad. But from the cheap but cool patterned floor and the blood splotches it just is great throughout. I like the fact that her face is cutoff, you're left wondering what the other half might look like, perhaps just as bloody? *shivers* awesome wall and fave!
