This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
but then it was kinda in a bad qualtiy so i had to recg some parts, fixed up some parts, did the shoes and fixed up the staff, but then i was thinking of vectoring the whole thing... but it was time consuming.. so blehg...
as for the backround i took a screen shot of one of the episodes of mahou, think it was episode 4 or 3... then i did some filters... etc on it, and i am impressed on the result =p. then course the textures are from desktop anime thanks to them =D i hope you enjoy the wallpaper as i did making it thanks~

This is certainly a good change to all those wallpapers full of Negima girls ^^ (not that they are bad, but i girl fancies a lot more a wallpaper with cute guys ^^) This looks really cute and he's all alone! *squeals*

I really like this wallpaper. The background of the school is very well done! I am not a fan of the anime/manga, but these wallpapers are somthing totaly different
There are a couple places near his right arm and where his hand meets the broom that I would go and clean up just a bit. Other than that, I like it and the texture doesn't bother me. Good job!
The extraction could use some work. i see a lot of white edges all over the place, especially on the arm and the staff. be careful of that, an extraction can break a good wall.
next, the background looks like....well, bad.
it's obvious what you did, and it just doesn't work. i would have rather seen more time spent in the background itself, like redrawing it or vectoring it out, or even having a totally different background. screenshot + filters shows a lack of effort.
finally, the textures over the image are a bit much. i personally use textures, but it seems like they were way overdone on this one. it makes everything look really weird and almost low quality. so, lighten up on the textures. less can be more.
overall, nice effort. the composition is nice, and so is the idea, but the effort just isn't there. next time, don't be afraid to go the extra mile. quality over quantity :3

Veru nice and cute wallpaper . . . i really like the scan it has nice expression . . . the extraction it needs some work though . . . the effect its very nice although a little bit strange . . . I love the variety of colours in the background ^^ I've never heard of this series but this wall is great! I'm amazed at how well you touched up the scan. Great job!
I like the way the background looks, but the same patterning on the character in the foreground detracts from the overall look. There's no real focal point, which makes it look a bit unfinished. But the colors are simply gorgeous.
