Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!
This is one of my favorite wallpapers that I have made. I used a nice scan of Ed walking down a lonely country road, but I thought that the picture would be more at home in a darker setting at night, in a gloomy forest. The wallpaper may seem dark to some people, but it was intended to be that way so that it could really be used as a wallpaper (providing necessary contrast between the wall and the desktop icons).
Very nice wallpaper . . . lovely image of Edward . . . and it maches very well with the dark background . . . i like the effects and the feeling of the wall . . . you have dine a very good job on that wall. Thank you very much for sharing it.

I have seen countless, countless wallpapers using that same scan, all in various situations, moods, ect. I have to say though, this is the best I've seen yet. In a lot of those walls, the lonely figure of Ed walking down an unseen path with his head turned back, looking behind him at whatever he's leaving, doesn't fit.
You've woven that solemn mood and figure together into a depressing and yet impressive wall with the dark, forlorn colors and the trees and mountains in the background. I don't neccessarily like the font you used for SEARCHING... because it almost looks like a computer function screen, like when you're actually running a search. Other than that, nearly seamless.
This is cool. I like the layers of different shades of grey used for the background, it really creates an interesting backdrop. The trees and placement of the image is really good too, and I do like the font you chose. Nicely done. :)
I do like this wall despite it's low resolution. I think what would look nice instead of a gradient in the trees is some mist. The gloomy atmosphere is very nicely captured.
