This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Well, after seeing this artbook scan featuring two of my favorite characters from this series, I knew I had to do a wallpaper for it. I basically tried to replicate the original look of the BG, just adding a bit of grunge to it t make it a bit more interesting. I divided the BG into two elements, the sky and the sunflower field, and basically worked to add a sense of depth by receeding both into the back, like the field just stretched off into infinity. I think it turned out pretty well, simple but still very nice looking. I hope you all enjoy!
Nice! I really like the colors you used. The soft bronze is a nice change from the usual brightness in sunflowers. Kind of reminds me of an old photograph. It looks like it captures a memory.
This is a great wall. I love the way the sunflowers fade, and I think you achieved the look you were going for with them fading on forever. I love the bronzy-ness of the wall. Fantastic job!
Nice sky composition, some clouds, getting a grungy feel of it. the stock you used for the sunflowers looks too real and too big.the horizon is still abit sharp. the blending and choice of colors are great. well done red!

Omg i love it >w< the characters are so gentle and cute. And the realistic background actually blends in really well, its soft balance makes it incorporate with the theme very well. But i thought a brighter sky would be better for this
