Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!
After I saw this scan, I was very inspired to make something out of it. I really believe such images that mask the face really display a strong emotion. :P
After cleaning up the image, I added some lighting and blending. I tried experiementing with some grunge-like random brush 'splodding'. It took a while to get them how I wanted, but it came through in the end (I think). :P
Some more softening and texture brushing happened, blah blah, yep!

Zomg, I just LOVE Takeshi Okazaki. When I frist saw this scan, I had no clue what to do with it. Now that what is possible with this scan, I'm deeply impressed. Your text is also very fitting in this wall, so I have no complaints there. The blue and brushing is also a nice addition to this wall. =D No complaints in this wall, except I'd suggest umm...making it 'sparkle' =X Not literally, but I think you know what I mean XD Anyway, this one is going on my desktop; in other words, it's a fave =D +fav

OMG that is very beautiful, I love the colours you used, it's very creative, I love the wings part, you did a great job I'm adding to favz, keep up the great work ^_^
I like the way you portrayed a dismantling effect. the wings are just lovely, and the grunge style really is just right. One thing I might suggest though, is maybe toen down the skin a bit? I duno, it just looks a bit bright... hehe I don't know what I'm really trying to say :P good job anyway

COOL! This is a very original wallpaper, I haven't seen ones like it in a while. I'm a new member, but hopefully I'll see more wallpapers like this from this site
I wouldn't usually comment, but this one caught my eye. A blendy and soft feeling arose out of me when I looked at this. I could see where I would do some things different, but you certainly got what you wanted. Ja ne.
Scared me for a second when I thought this wouldn't make it to the top three. Really well done. The color and texture is very nice. I also think the text is very unique.
