This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
A quick wallpaper to get back into the swing of things, nothing really special here. I liked the scan of the folks from Xing because, well, I like the folks from Xing. Especially Ling. And everyone by now knows of my penchant for walling lesser known or less favorite characters - what better way than to wall some manga-only characters? Since the folks from Xing are searching for immortality, I titled the wall "A Quest for Eternity". Frankly, they sort of remind me of the "Journey to the West" legends with the monkey king and all.
Basically it was a lot of cleanup of text, repositioning Ling so he appeared closer to the others, an extension of the pipes in the scan to make a horizontal layout, some light texturing using default Photoshop textures, and some text.
I know, I know. ZOMG another freakin' FMA wall. I'm tired of them too... but I have a lot of wallpaper ideas in mind: Gankutsuou, walls for the Doujinshi contest winners, Utena, a Bebop wall for AnimePaper's contest, Kino no Tabi... this is just filler, really. A throwaway wall. The same old. Nothing ground breaking here. That'll just have to wait.

NOTE: I guess my reputation for vectors leads folks to assume I vector everything... well, I don't, and there isn't a single vector, not even a tiny path or bezier curve, used in this wallpaper. This is pure Photoshop clone tool, and a few other tricks I have up my sleeve for image reconstruction.
The wallpaper and the cleaning and re-cging look very good. But it's quite simple, you didn't add a new background and just a texture. But I think everyone knows that you have a lot of skill and can make nice backgrounds, too, so it doesn't matter if this is just a fill-wallpaper. It's still good work.
Nice texture you did to the whole wallie... great job plus the fonts you choice well and added the perspective to the fonts great job again you gave it thought and did a fine wallpaper ^.^

That's cool for a FMA wallpaper. I loved this character. Then, it just a simple wallpaper, but the texture is very good. The colour is balance with the background.
I really love these characters and I can never find any wallpapers on them because they're not in the manga. While I really like the actual picture, the image quality seems a bit low. If more definition could be added to the wall, that would be great.
