Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!
Another wall i did awhile back of a fanart of aerith by nekkeau. got permission ahead of time to do this and tried to keep it fairly like the original.
This wallpaper especially stands out to me because of the light breaking out from the shade that the girl appears to be under. it really makes me think of laying down in a cool, beautiful lake, under the umbrage of trees as light shines through...

Really, really, REALLY nice wally!Reminds me of the time Sephiroth stabbed her at that shrine and Cloud shoved her off, carrying her to the Life Stream.. Although in this pick, her clothes are of the KH outfit or rather her jacket was taken off... :P Whoever drew the image, I want to congratulate him/her for capturing the EXACT emotion Aeris (or Aerith) carried over by the time she got stabbed. A little bit of gore factor but when looked at in a closer view, it represents tranquility and her sentiments all the way... [ > job! - Great job!]
Wow, I really love the mood of this wallpaper, the dark and mysterious setting really suites Aerith's personality. I fully condorse this wallpaper and the artist that drew Areith fav ^_^.

The one thing that caught my 'logic' radar is that she seems like she is floating in water, but if she's just floating and not lying on anything really solid then she's too far out of the water than she should be. but barring that, everything else is really wonderful. i like how you kept it simple like you said, and i think you did a good job with the light and shadows and the coloring of the water (and of the whole thing). i also like how (the water) looks almost like a painting at the upper left side and yet you made it look as if there is a lot of depth further down on the wallpaper. And of course the fanart is really pretty=) good job! definitely worth looking at
